Magrath Library

University of Minnesota student & staff


The C. Peter Magrath Media Viewing Room is located in Magrath Library, room 80. The room is available to university affiliates. The primary purpose of this room is for small groups to view media or practice presentations. Further details about the room and reservation form can be found here.

Magrath Library has a private group study room (room B55) available during our regular open hours for the use of current University students, staff, and faculty. Priority use of this room is for groups of two or more. Please fill out a form to reserve the space.  To access the room, please check out the key from the Magrath Service desk. The key loan period is 3 hours.


Amenities include:

  • Four rolling tables
  • Sixteen chairs
  • Whiteboard
  • Bulletin board
  • Television equipped with DVD and VHS
  • Internet access via ethernet and wireless card (BYO laptop)
